Cavalry Units

Cavalry Guards (Saxony)

Saxon cavalry guards consisted of Garde du Corps, Horse Guards, grand-musketeers' corps, and a regiment of carbineer guards. They were equipped with a pair of pistols, a broadsword, a cavalry handgun, and a cuirass. Carbineers were armed with carbines (with rifled barrels) instead of guns.
